How do I install my DIY ground screws?
Our DIY ground screws are very simple to install. You can start turning it into the ground by hand and then use the Ratchet Installation tool once it becomes too difficult to turn. Our tool is designed to slot inside the top of your ground screw. You can use the detachable T Bar to turn in your ground screw. For each ¼ turn of the handle, the ground screw will move 10mm further into the ground. If any further advice or guidance is required please contact our team and we will be happy to help.
How do ground screws work and are they stable?
Ground screws use the standard pile principles which have been reliably applied since the Ancient Greeks. The process of installing the ground screws will compact the surrounding local soil and solidify the substructure. Other forces such as skin friction, clamping pressure and thread interlocking will all contribute to its load bearing capacity. This method ensures your foundation requires no digging, no mess, no concrete and the install process 75% faster.
