Ground screws use the standard pile principles which have been reliably applied since the Ancient Greeks. The process of installing the ground screws will compact the surrounding local soil and solidify the substructure. This method ensures your foundation requires no digging, no mess, no concrete and the install process 75% faster.

How long will ground screws last?
Ground screws are designed to last as long as concrete foundations, provided they are installed correctly. You will also need to ensure you choose the correct size and quantity for your project. All of our ground screws come with a 20-year product guarantee and are produced in accordance with EN1090-1.
Are ground screws cheaper than concrete?
Yes, installing ground screws is cheaper than pouring concrete when you consider the additional costs of concrete. This includes the cost of digging the foundations, a skip to remove the earth, a permit for the skip (if you are placing it on public land), materials and labour. The cost of concrete foundations will increase significantly if you are placing your holiday lodge on uneven or sloping ground.
Ground screws are suitable for most ground types, including rocky and sandy ground. Ground screws can also be used in locations prone to flooding. If you’re not sure if ground screws will work in your chosen location, get in touch with our team on 02476 108 109 or contact us to find out more.
Are ground screws suitable for larger structures like annexes?
We stock a wide range of ground screws suitable for projects of all sizes. It’s important to choose the right size ground screws and the correct number for your project. Our team are on hand to review any plans you may have and offer free guidance and technical support.
Can I place my garden building on a slope?
Yes, you can place your building on a slope with ground screws. By using longer ground screws, a part of the ground screw may be left proud (above ground) allowing you to account for uneven ground. This can allow you to make the most of your garden space for extensions, annexes and other structures without the need for digging , skips and heavy machinery.
Are ground screws removable?
Yes, you can remove ground screws by simply removing the bracket and then using the hand installation tool to turn the ground screw the opposite way. If the ground has hardened and compacted around the ground screw, you can soften it with water poured into the opening of the ground screw to make it easier to remove.
